The Legs of Los Angeles

Spread the love

On a recent trip to the United States, we thought we’d grasp the opportunity to find out what the legs of LA were wearing. On a beautiful day at Santa Monica Pier, we compared fashions, trends, styles and all things legwear.

This first casual style is something that caught our eye because of it’s laid back but luxurious style. The diversity of the outfit could see you through several activities throughout the day. Style matched with our favourite Status Track Pants from Hey Jo, we feel that the ability to be comfortable whilst still looking smart is an attribute to be treasured.

This style spotted on the sunny pier is one that’s bang on trend at the moment. The cropped flare is one that can be styled to fit any occassion. Style for work with a pair of block heels or flats and a blazer for a sophisticated look. Alternatively, a tucked in blouse for a casual-chic look, or a t-shirt and trainers for the weekend. Although there are many different variations of the cropped flare, high waisted, 7/8th length, our style match (DL1961 Lara Cropped Flare) has only a slight fray to the hem and a darker shade, we feel that these are the perfect pair of jeans for the modern woman.

This style match also fashions a cropped jean. Paired with our MAC Dream Summer Chic Cropped Jeans this style is perfect for the spring/summer seasons. The Mac emphasize the feminine silhouette beautifully, featuring slanted pockets, a fashionable cropped 27″ leg. MAC jeans tend to be a favourite as their denim is an innovative quality due to its special composition, an excellent elastic recovery property and a very soft feel.

This style of jean found on Santa Monica Pier was extremely similar to our MAC dream skinny jeans. These are an absolute favourite of ours, the amazing stretch and has a particularly soft feel. Its high percentage of elastane means excellent recovery and is exceptionally comfortable for all figure types.
Dream Skinny features an invisible tummy control, the waist band is higher at the back for ease of movement and has a narrow leg and ankle. Designed with the classic 5 pockets, either self colour or contrast stitching are available on the black and blue denim as well as additional seasonal shades.

This Kim K look-a-like we spotted strolling down the pier had a very sophisticated style, suitable for both the warm weather and the winds of the sea. The bare leg look complimented greatly with a pair of sheer tights. We’ve matched these to our Nude 8 tights from Wolford as they were incredibly sheer, so fine you weren’t sure if she was wearing tights or not, yet still tanned to her complexion. If you look close enough, you will notice that she’s also wearing white trainer socks. A good idea to stop the tights rubbing, these Cool Kick from Falke are specially designed to be invisible in a trainer shape shoe. Silicone grip at the back prevents slipping down.

Everyone loves Leggings. The ladies of California included. The quality of these leggings, and the way the hem looks, to us, very similar to Spanx Look at me now Leggings. Delightfully comfortable & flat-out flattering leggings. Designed with flexibility and movement in mind, these leggings go with the flow without worry or woe. With their hidden innovation and shaping support, the Cropped Look At Me Now Leggings are sure to keep you feeling confident all day long! The matte yarn features a fine rib knit for a soft feel against your skin.

These fabulous white leggings we’d spotted were an almost identical match to our Hue Super Smooth Denim Leggings. These denim leggings give you the look and feel of quality denim without the rough texture. Feature faux front pockets and real back pockets with button fly closure embellishment.

It was such a lovely day that this pooch had her pins out too! We wonder if she uses California inspired Legology products. We think she does.
